ACI Vodice – A Vibrant Marina

The town of Vodice is one of the leading tourist destinations in the Šibenik area. This small, yet cheerful and charming city offers plenty of tourist accommodation and activities during the summer time. With a big game fishing competition and a variety of music, cultural and entertainment events, along with beautiful beaches and beach bars, Vodice is an interesting destination for yachtsmen as well.

The gas station that operates within the marina is located on the outer side of the breakwater. Thanks to its central position on the Croatian Coast, this marina is frequently visited by those who sail up and down the Adriatic and are keen to take a break. It is also used as a starting point for a sailing vacation, so it is good to know that several charter companies operate from ACI Vodice as their base.ACI Marina Vodice is located very close to the centre of the town and represents one of the highlights of the town’s tourist offer. The marina is open throughout the year, offering 273 mooring berths and 55 dry berths. Freshwater and electric power sockets are available at all berths, and there are also toilet/shower facilities, a repair and maintenance workshop, a 10 t capacity crane, a 60 t capacity travel lift, a car park for visitors of the marina and a yacht wash-up wastewater treatment plant. Due to the marina’s proximity to the town’s centre, everything you may need for your yacht can be obtained easily. There are grocery shops, a farmers’ market, a fish market, pharmacies and the office of the harbour’s master.

Not to be forgotten, Vodice gets pretty busy at the beginning of December, which is when the most famous night offshore regatta in Croatia, “Jabuka”, starts. Those who prefer mooring in calm and quiet environments should look for some other place to stay because, in the summertime, Vodice is alive from dusk till dawn. I wish you a calm sea, a fine wind and a strong mast!
