The latest top model arrives from Hanse Yachts. It is the Hanse 455, advertised as powerful and athletic. Grand appearance, individuality and character are brought as the result of the combination of a strong rig, extraordinary equipment and quality materials.
The new Hanse 455 is 13.95 m LOA with water line measuring as much as 12.20 m along with 2.25 m of width. She comes with three keel options – the standard T-keel which draft is 2.25 m, L-shape keel with 2.25 m draft and L-shape keel with 1.82 m draft. Hanse 455 is equipped with one rudder controlled by two steering wheels, and is powered by a 53 HP Volvo Penta D2-55 engine with saildrive. The standard interior version considers 3 cabins while 4 cabin version is optional regarding the forward cabin area divided in two.
The standard center segment comes with a comfortable U-shaped sofa on the starboard and a bench on the backboard while the optional version offers backboard bench replaced by a small table and two swiveling chairs. The cabins are light and spacious, with a lot of storage space. Bathrooms are also comfortable, offering toilet and a basin with partitioned showers. The large storage area in the bow allows you to store additional sails, fenders, luggage or even on-board bicycles.
Hanse 455 is equipped with the largest cockpit area in the class which brings extraordinary comfort for passengers while skipper can control the navigation and trimming from spacious control pedestal. Fresh water tanks hold approximately 450 l while diesel tank holds as much as 220 l, which seems to be enough for relaxed and comfortable sailing trips. The new Hanse 455 design is the result of the efforts of renowned Judel/Vrolijk & Co design studio.
