This marina was built eight years ago in Sutomišćica, Ugljan island, just across a channel that separates the island form the city of Zadar. The marina is located around 2 km from Preko ferry port, and can be reached from Zadar airport in less than an hour. The marina struggled in the past, but has been taken over by a new management with a clear vision, which has started an extensive reconstruction of the marina.
The central building has been reconstructed in a manner of a classy yacht club with a comfortable interior and exterior. Every detail is taken care of, so everyone feels at home when staying there. Breakfast and coffee are served in a bar with a beautiful terrace, while two Croatian chefs prepare authentic regional meals, which are served in combination with carefully chosen wines.
The entire marina is decorated with natural materials such as stone and wood, which fit the environment perfectly, emphasizing the cozy, home feeling even more. Since all major charter bases are located in the Zadar mainland, the Olive Island Marina is free from the usual weekend fuss and nervousness typical for charter bases. This is one of the reasons why the marina has become home for many private yachts, whose owners enjoy full comfort of the marina, as well as the beauty of the surrounding nature.
The marina is equipped with a car parking area and a service center, where all maintenance work is done by the marina experts. There is also a large storage for boating equipment and a 40 t travel lift. Every berth is equipped with fresh water and electric plugs. A special care is taken of customers’ pets, which is why a long promenade for walking dogs that leads to the woods behind the marina was created. The marina has several partners, which help it organize transfer services, so that you can travel into and from the marina with a car transfer, water taxi, to and from Zadar airport, etc. Cycling, diving, water skiing and a sailing school are also available.
This marina is located in the vicinity of beautiful sailing destinations on the surrounding islands, which offer a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful environment and excellent food.
