of old Turkish trading ships.
Gulets are two-masted vessels that used to be made from local
pinewood trees and today their size varies from 14 to 35 meters.
Cruise gulets are from 5 to 7 meters wide and normally have from 4
to 10 cabins and usually can accommodate around 20 persons.
Nowadays, these sailing vessels can be found all over the
Mediterranean - the eastern part in particular. Even though
traditionally gulets used sails, today they are mostly run on
diesel.
