Salon nautique international de Paris, also known as “Paris Boat Show” is the largest and the most important European boat show in December. It took place from December 7th to 15th 2013 and was organized through three exhibition poles – Sailing and Tourism, Motor boating and Equipment.
Rolex Middle Sea Race is a major Mediterranean sailing event. This sailing race was founded in 1968 by Paul and John Ripard and Jimmy White, all members of the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The best observation about this race came from Ted Turner.
Cannes Yachting Festival will be held from September 9th and 14th for the 37th time. The Festival has not lost its elegance and glamour. Some 550 yacht are expected for about 55.000 visitors. The exhibits will be organized in 8 categories according to the size and type of the vessel.
Wild Oats XI has made history by winning the 8th Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. She crossed the finish line after 2 days, 2 hours, 3 minutes and 26 seconds of sailing. The main opponent was the Comanche team led by the experienced Ken Reed and Kelvin Harrap.
The Polish Delphia Yachts is becoming a well known name on the sailing yachts market. Their Delphia 37.3 was designed to provide a spacious yacht in the same price range as the competition. The designers wanted to give their customers a comfortable and safe small sailing yacht for a family holiday.
London Boat Show, or officially CWM FX London Boat Show 2015, will be held between January 9th and 18th. There you will be able to find some 450 leading names from the industry. This edition brings you the Control the rain hall and a sailing stand with Sir Ben Ainslie.
We finally got the winners of European Yacht of the Year competition for 2014. In the Family Cruiser category the award went to Beneteau 38. Dehler 38 won the Performance Cruiser category. The new category – Special Yacht was won by the Swiss Saphire 27. Dutch Contest 42 CS impressed the jury and won the prize for the Luxury Cruise category.
Wave Sailing Center is an established sailing center in the Croatian town of Šibenik, founded by four friends and experienced sailors. The center has already organized several very successful races, and offers one day and weekend charters aboard their Beneteau Platu25 yachts, as well as an advanced sailing course.
