Kotor is an old Mediterranean port. It is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by Republic of Venice and the Venetian influence remains dominant among the architectural influences. The Bay of Kotor is one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea so it is no wonder it is sometimes called the southern-most fjord in Europe (though it is actually a submerged river canyon).

The 16th century Kanli kula used to be a prison. It was dubbed Bloody Tower (kanli = bloody). However, the tower today represents one of the most beautiful summer stages on the Mediterranean Sea. There is also the Forte mare (Sea fortress). It houses a cinema today, as well as a discotheque and a fortress; Citadela.
There is a sailing club with a marina situated in the bottom of the city. Moorings are provided for approximately 30 yachts, while services include water, electricity (separately calculated to marina berth charges), filling station.
The Budva riviera is the hot spot of Montenegro's tourism and a popular sailing destination. It is known for its sandy beaches, diverse nightlife, and beautiful Mediterranean architecture. Budva is 2,500 years old, and as such is one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic sea coast. Its roots are traced back to the Phoenicians.
The yacht charter base has good facilities and can be found beside the old town of Budva. Border crossing and the building of Port of the Authority are also located there. The depth varies between 2m and 5m (in front of the old town), from 1.7m to 4m (the internal pier) and between 2m and 5m (external pier). It provides good shelter and plenty of room to maneuver once inside. The fuel dock is on the end of "D" pontoon, and repair facilities for smaller vessels.

The marina is situated at the north side of the port. The depth reduces towards the end of marina from 6m to 2m. This yacht charer is perfectly situated to explore the southern part of Adriatic. It is surrounded by the town, the beach, the promenade and the ferry terminal.
