Calabria Sailing Holidays
Calabria, or the “toe” of the Italian peninsula, boasts 500 miles of coastline and is well-known for its variety of beaches, which makes it an ideal sailing holiday destination you can have fun exploring on board of your sailing yacht or catamaran.
Yacht Charter in Calabria
Charter a yacht in Calabria and start your journey in Tropea, one of the most famous and beautiful towns in Calabria. The town sits on top of an imposing cliff rising above the turquoise sea and white sand, and is a real pleasure to observe from your charter yacht. Take a walk down charming narrow streets, and discover hidden little squares, while tasting the town’s specialty: sweet red onion.
Calabria is also incredibly mountainous, and it has three national parks you can explore, in case you want to take a break from sailing. You can also go mountain climbing or rafting. The highlight of any visit to Calabria is the Calabrese cuisine, with its fundamental ingredient - peperoncino (chili), which makes it one of the spiciest cuisines in Italy.
High summer is when Calabria is most crowded, and the heat with temperatures around 40 °C can be oppressive, so we recommend chartering a yacht in June or September for a more comfortable sailing holiday.
