Bavaria 51 Cruiser – Redesigned Classical Cruiser

Bavaria 51 Cruiser looks sophisticated and elegant. The English Design Unlimited Studio managed to make the yacht functional and useful. The interior design emphasizes comfort and spaciousness and has different options – from three to five cabins. The new design was presented on Düsseldorf Boot Show.

There are 13 hatches, all placed at the same level of the deck which makes moving on the deck more comfortable and safest ever. Jib sheet travelers are placed on top of the superstructure leaving more space along the sides of the yacht. The cockpit is equipped with a large table, solidly attached to the floor, with a large storage in its middle and glass holders at its ends. Skipper is handling with twin steering wheels while sportive looking pedestals provide enough space for 8-inch screens.

There is a large foldable swimming platform behind skipper’s back, which is being handled by remote control. Front hatch on the bow hides a large storage for gennaker and other equipment, or it could be designed as a skipper’s cabin. Both anchor and anchor winch are declared as additional equipment which allows every buyer to choose the type and system they prefer. Four Lewmar 50 and two Lewmar 55 winches come as the standard equipment. Optionally, there could be electric Lewmar 65 winches for jib sheets and Lewmar 55’s for halyards along with two additional Lewmar 55’s for gennaker. In that case, there will be the Trim Control, an electric system for trimming the sails that is especially handy when tacking.

Standard rigging includes 67 m² mainsail and 60 m² jib, while recommended gennaker size amounts to 186 m². Bavaria 51 Cruiser is powered by a 75 HP Volvo Penta D2. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 560 l while the fuel tank holds 280 l of diesel. The hull is designed by renowned Bruce Farr and not many visible changes were done to the new Cruiser 51 model.

Novelties refer to construction details and technologies which resulted in higher durability and lower weight. The keel is available in two options – with the draft of 2.25 m or a shallower one 1.85 m. The full crew capacity amounts to 12, which could be accommodated in different interior options – from three to five cabins.

The interior design emphasizes comfort and spaciousness while Flex Cabin system allows two front cabins to become one large within few minutes. Brand new Bavaria 51 Cruiser was presented on Düsseldorf Boot exhibition earlier this year. Charter Bavaria 51 Cruiser this season and discover the functionality and elegance of this sailing yacht.

I wish you a calm sea, a fine wind and a strong mast!
