Elan Yachts impressed us again by presenting a massive sailing cruiser from their Impression line.
This 13.76 m long yacht is equipped with the largest cockpit in the class along with some solutions that are characteristic for mega yachts. The designers’ team led by Rob Humphreys has built the yacht as a combination of fast and modern hull and the comfort needed for a yacht of this size.
Elan Impression 494 is a salon-deck cruiser equipped with double-keel set and functional deck equipment, making the yacht pretty stable and governable by a small number of crew members. The comfort is emphasized by a large surface at the bow, making it perfect for sunbathing, while extra-large cockpit is equipped with foldable table and 2.10 m long settees. Electric folding aft platform gives another perspective to disembarking and especially water activities such as swimming, jumping and snorkeling.
Optionally, this yacht can be equipped with a deck kitchen along with an integrated external bar and a fridge.
A lot of space and natural light in the saloon is gained through the elevated roof with large hatches. Dining table in the saloon is surrounded with large U-shaped settees designed in elegant lines giving a modern look to the whole saloon. The kitchen and chart table are situated in the lower layer than the rest of the saloon contributing to the feeling of space and comfort.
All four bedrooms on this yacht are also spacious and comfortable while storage areas are extra large and functional so passengers can take some extra clothes to visit fancy restaurants and clubs. Three bathrooms, tanks holding 600 l of fresh water and 300 l of fuel for the 75-horse power engine are enough to provide the right amount of comfort for a maximum of 10 persons. Standard 59 sq m mainsail and 48 sq m jib should also be enough to provide decent sailing performances for relaxed family sailing.
I wish you a calm sea, a fine wind and a strong mast!
