It has been 20 years since the International Boat Show Internautica opened its doors in Portorož, Slovenia. Despite many difficulties during the last 20 years, the organizers have managed to gather a big number of partners and visitors, keeping the program and content of the boat show at the highest possible level. Congratulations!
Many international boat shows have recently experienced a surge in the number of visitors, so the organizers of this year’s edition of Internautica are looking forward to the celebration of the anniversary. The visitors of Internautica already know that a special emphasis in Portorož is given to nature friendly technologies, implemented not only into nautical sector, but into the means of private transport in general. Therefore, the presentation concept “Green Avenue” will present the latest achievements in the field of electric vessels, hybrid vehicles and eco-friendly means of transport. Moreover, all visitors who arrive to the boat show with their electric cars will be granted free admission and a parking space in the designated “Green mobility parking zone”. In line with “green” subjects, the organizers of Internautica 2015 will promote the event “Green Yachting”, focusing on sustainable development of boating tourism, nautical education and promotion of green nautical culture.
Furthermore, Internautica 2015 will hold the specialized “Tourism Market”. The goal of this project is to gather local and international travel agencies, accommodation and charter agencies, marinas and all other support services that will have a chance to present themselves in the best possible way in the specially prepared and organized exhibition space.
As for the entertainment, the visitors do not have to worry about not having a good time. The traditional Exhibitors Gala is announced to be the most glamorous yet, while a lot of surprises are to be expected during the Match race regatta and historical vessels showcase.Nautical equipment, clothing and footwear will be offered for special prices in numerous shops and stands, while the latest products and innovations from the field of motor and sailing yachts are going to be presented at interesting promotions. Yet again, the emphasis will be on energy-efficient yacht designs and projects, as well as on eco-friendly, sustainable and efficient boat building technologies, innovative propulsion systems, and hybrid systems which help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
The organizers of Internautica have put special efforts to prepare the prestigious “Adriatic Boat of the Year” awards. Croatian and Slovenian boating and nautical experts will comprise a jury that will choose the winners in different categories. This year, attention will be given to vessels with the special “Adriatic note” – features that make them excellent for sailing in the Adriatic Sea.
Do not waste your time on calculations because Internautica 2015 opens its doors in just a few days, on May 6. A very rich program has been announced, and there will be some European premieres, so it would be best if you could stay in Portorož during the entire show, which closes on May 10.
