As St. Nicholas is knocking on our doors Šibenik is preparing to honor him with a sailing festival. Traditional Šibenik regatta for cruisers in its 14th edition has become a large 3-days event dedicated to the sea, sailing, good seamanship and St. Nicholas as the patron saint of seafarers.
Wave Sailing Center is an established sailing center in the Croatian town of Šibenik, founded by four friends and experienced sailors. The center has already organized several very successful races, and offers one day and weekend charters aboard their Beneteau Platu25 yachts, as well as an advanced sailing course.
Skrivena luka is a small bay situated on the southern part of Lastovo island. There is an old lighthouse which announces the entrance to the bay. It is the second oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic. There is a fantastic restaurant in Skrivena luka called Porto Rosso, which serves excellent traditional meals. A small marina lies in front of the restaurant. You do not have to be the restaurant’s guest to moor your yacht there.
Marina Hramina is located on the island of Murter, in the town of the same name. Murter is connected to the Croatian mainland by a bridge, so it is simple to reach. Dalmatia in general, but Central Dalmatia in particular, can easily be described as the most popular and astonishing sailing region of the Eastern Adriatic. Visit the islands of Drvenik Mali, Šolta, Vis, Hvar and Brač and enjoy the turquoise waters of the Adriatic.
If you are passing the Gate of Split, one of the busiest straits in the Adriatic, separating the islands Šolta and Brač, you will probably want to anchor in Livka. It is the southernmost bay on Šolta and a regular spot for swim breaks. Our skipper advises you where it is the best to anchor, so take a look!
When you arrive to Lovište, a small village at the gate of Pelješac peninsula, you can find a beautiful small family restaurant named Barsa. This konoba (tavern) is open form mid-May to mid-October in the afternoon and evening. The atmosphere and the offer of the konoba are exceptional.
Marina Punat, on the island Krk in North Adriatic, was founded 50 years ago as a part of the revolutionary idea of shipyard management. It is the first and the oldest marina in the Croatian Adriatic. With further development and investment it became one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic.
Located not far from the historical core of Šibenik town, in a naturally sheltered Mandalina peninsula, the D-Marina Mandalina provides refit, maintenance and all kinds of technical support for yachts. It is the most popular starting point for sailing the Adriatic.
